Which Kind of Honey is Best for Diabetics?

I am a diabetic and have been for the last 10 years.
A friend of mine told me of a remedy to control my cholestrol to take garlic soaked in honey.
The garlic cloves have to be soaked in a jar of honey for 40 days and then start taking one clove at night.
I have been doing this for over an year and it has stabilised my cholestrol although i still take a small dose of Statin.
I would like to know if there is a special type of honey that i should use?
~ ~ ~ ~ Jan's Answer ~ ~ ~ ~ Diabetics need to control the types of foods they eat and that is also true for honey. However, that is not to say they cannot eat honey in moderation but all diabetics should be guided by their own doctors and dieticians.
Garlic is an amazing natural food which has long been known about and studied in great detail and proved to be extremely useful in helping to lower cholesterol levels.
As you are soaking your garlic cloves in honey and only eating one each night your honey consumption is certainly not excessive.
Garlic has this amazing ability to reduce the stickiness of blood platelets which then helps to keep your heart and circulation in great working order and lowers your cholesterol levels at the same time.
If honey is permitted in your diabetic food consumption then personally I suggest you seek out a local beekeeper and buy a jar or two of his or her excellent
raw honey because you will be eating the best kind of honey that money can buy.
Honey also contains trace elements, which are crucial in the prevention and treatment of diabetes, such as:
* Chromium
* Magnesium
* Manganese
* Vanadium (helpful in decreasing the need for insulin)
* Zinc (a deficiency of zinc is believed to contribute to the onset of diabetes)
* Potassium (which improves sensitivity to insulin)
The health benefits of garlic along with the benefits of honey are indeed two of the very best natural foods provided for us by nature.
