Oven degree for
Honey Biscuit Recipe?

In your September newsletter you stated to bake the biscuits at Gas Mark 4.

I don't understand what degree of temperature you mean?

Does that mean 400 degrees? If not, what degree?

Thank you.

The recipe sounds delicious and I want to try it.

I do apologise, that was a complete oversight by me. Because I use gas to do my cooking and baking I completely forgot to add other forms of oven temperatures.

The equivilant to Gas Mark 4 is:

180 degrees centigrade or 350 degrees farenheight.

For anyone who may be interested the recipe that is referred to here, it was included in my last newsletter, I always add a free honey recipe each month. Here it is if you would like to try it, it is indeed mouthwatering.

Honey and Cinnamon Biscuits

Melt together gently 3oz of butter, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of milk.

In a bowl add 4oz of sifted wholemeal or plain flour, 2oz of oatmeal, 3oz of brown sugar, half a teaspoon of baking powder and 1 teaspoon of fresh ground cinnamon.

Pour the melted ingredients in with the dry and stir until thoroughly mixed together.

Taking enough each time to form a small ball, use it all up placing the balls of dough onto a flat greased tin.

Flatten them and place in a pre-heated oven of Gas mark 4 or equivalent for approximately 15 minutes. Your kitchen will be smelling good!
