Beekeepers eat Honey with Cheese. Did you know that?

Hello Jan

I am very pleased to have found your great website about the Health Benefits of Honey and everything associated with honey and honeybees including the pleasures of Beekeeping.

I thought I would write to you to let you know a little bit about my own interests, Honey and Cheese.

I am finishing preparations for releasing a book called Green Gold, which, to the best of my knowledge, is the first on the subject of pairing honeys and cheeses.

As difficult as it is to believe, it appears that honey and cheese are so commonplace or such staples that everyone has pretty much left the joy of culinary mixing to the minds and hearts of professional chefs or everyday gourmets.

Green Gold seeks to review what is known and to start the process of developing a process for making recommendations and suggestions.

But, it does more too. It seeks to set the stage for helping both sectors (particularly beekeepers, of which there are more than 210,000 in the US alone and specialty cheese artisans, the largest growing entrepreneurial sector for fine foods) become more empowered through social or new media connectivity--which, coincidently happens to be referred to by the business sector as Hive Marketing.

Shortly I expect to go more public with Green Gold and would love to stay in touch with more people who want to help and become part of this movement toward linking these passionate gourmets toward more sustainable and healthy eating.

My website has an early link to Green Gold, VentureCharities.biz.

To anyone who may find this of interest please drop me a line if you would like to be connected.

This project is commercial, in that I expect to sell the book, but designed primarily as a form of socially responsible profitability that tries to advance the efforts of honey and cheese lovers.

Many Thanks
Allan

I love putting honey on my goat cheese. My son likes it on smoked scamorza or string cheese. Mmmmmmm....

Thanks ... Dogs Rule!
by: Allan

Appreciate the nice thoughts. It's funny that my partner and I came up with this whole idea in partial support for work we do at our retail store, which we call Shiroco's (Shirocos.com). Shiroco happens to be our dog! And he loves whatever gourmet treats we provide him and his brother.

I look forward to connecting as I do my best to push the book, Green Gold, forward.

You might not have done anything wrong with Facebook. Sometimes it does funny things. I was just surprised to find several folks with the same name and I cannot find yours. Weird.

My email you and others can use is HoneyCheesePairing@gmail.com.

My best.

by: Janette (HBoH)

Thank you Allan for your very interesting submission.

I haven't quite worked out how to use Facebook properly just yet.......I thought I had but after reading your comment it is obvious even to me that I haven't!

I appreciate your comments and felt very happy to publish what you have to say.

My dog likes cheese and by chance often eats it with honey!

I have a contact form on my website if you feel this would be the way to maintain contact with me.

If you would prefer to use private emails then use the contact form initially to send me your email address which will remain private and I will get back to you.

I wish you luck with your project and look forward to reading a copy.

Warm Regards
Jan (Janette)
