The Honey Nut Cheerios Bee

The Honey Nut Cheerios Bee you have seen on packets of Honey Nut Cheerios advertises one of the most popular cereals ever created, and it has been a signature product of General Mills for over 30 years, as it was first introduced in 1979.

The Bee seemed a logical choice as a mascot, since the sweet taste of honey is one of the premiere ingredients used in Honey Nut Cheerios.

The fun-loving honey bee named “Buzz” has been the cornerstone mascot of this cereal ever since its induction, and the cereal has been voted as one of the 100 greatest cereals of all time.

11-year-old Kristine Tong of Coolidge, Texas, won a competition to name the cheerios bee. Kristine wrote that she'd name the cereal mascot BuzzBee because "he is a bee with a lot of talent and when he flies, he makes a "buzzing noise"

Honey Nut Cheerios adopted the slogan “Bee happy, Bee Healthy,” which conveniently goes hand in hand with the mascot Buzz.

Not only is Honey Nut Cheerios a great choice of cereal based solely on taste, but it is also a tremendous source of several vitamins and nutrients. Honey Nut Cheerios has been scientifically proven to lower cholesterol, and thus keep your heart healthy. Eating a cereal every morning that can help prevent heart disease and high cholesterol is the way to go!

Not only is it healthy for adults with high cholesterol, but each tasty bite of Honey Nut Cheerios contains 13 essential vitamins and nutrients that help kids create a strong foundation for healthy living. Each little bite also contains soluble fiber from whole grain oats!

When you combine the fun-loving Buzz with the great taste of Honey Nut Cheerios, you have a winner! Even more so, when you think about how healthy this cereal is for both adults and kids it is no wonder it is such a popular choice!

All of this started in 1979 when a little Bee named Buzz was created from the imagination of General Mills cereals. Ever since then the bee has been a focal point of the marketing campaign, and has shown children and adults that eating a healthy breakfast can also taste very good!

Cheerios Nutrition Will help you understand why this is an important addition to our daily diet.
