This Honey Mustard Recipe
will Spice up Many a Dish

Choose a mustard that you particularly enjoy and play around with a different variety each time.

You will probably enjoy them all but one of them will jump out at you and become your firm favourite over time.

Some suggestions are American, English, French, Dijon or Wholegrain mustard.

Use a large glass bowl if you have one, this does not make a difference to the flavour but will allow you to see the colors as they blend. This makes a good quantity and you can store the remainder covered in a fridge for the next time.

  • Use a good olive oil, 120 mls

  • Mustard of your choice, I use Dijon for this recipe, 2 tsp

  • Balsamic vinegar, 30mls

  • Red wine vinegar 10mls

  • 10mls of honey

Stir all the ingredients together and toss into a salad of your choice, or cold tuna and pasta or even a sweetcorn and bean salad.

This honey mustard dressing recipe will zing up many a dish, be inventive and impress not only yourself but your family and friends too.

Versatile Honey Mustard Recipes Using More Tasty Ingredients

You can make many honey with mustard recipes by adding other good, fresh and tasty ingredients.

Although I have given you a guide as to the quantities you could perhaps use, you may prefer to experiment with those.

Adding a little chopped fresh garlic and/or some fresh grated ginger will enhance your honey mustard recipe even further.

A squeeze of lemon, orange or lime juice will give a slightly citrus taste, citrus fruits always blend well together with honey.

A lovely selection of chopped herbs such as Coriander, Parsley or Chives will also help take your honey mustard recipe to another level!

This Honey Mustard Salad Dressing
Will be Enjoyed by All
  • Take all the ingredients I listed above except for the honey; add 50grms of grated ginger, the juice and zest of 1 citrus fruit and a couple of teaspoons of chopped Coriander.

  • Pop them all in a saucepan and gently heat together on a low heat stirring often

  • Add half a dozen grated carrots

  • After half an hour or so this honey mustard sauce recipe will have thickened

  • Add your honey now (excessive heat will destroy honey’s properties)
