Are You Looking for an Easy Honey Chicken Recipe?

Everyone loves a honey chicken recipe and I am no different. I have put a few of our favourite family chicken recipes together for you here.Is there a chicken lurking in your fridge and you're thinking to yourself how can I make something more interesting for dinner tonight? Try one of these easy chicken recipes and surprise the family tonight. These are quick, simple and delicious as most honey recipes are. I do hope you will try one or two for yourselves.
All these recipes serve 4 people.
Honey Chicken Recipe # 1
- 8 chicken drumsticks or thighs or portions
- 60 mls of your favourite mustard
- 1 cup of chopped or sliced button mushrooms
- 60 mls of your favourite honey
- Seasonings, we use salt, black pepper and oregano
This recipe can be cooked in a largish roasting pan in a pre-heated oven of 375 F or 190 C or Gas mark 5 for approx 30 minutes.
Prepare your chicken by washing and patting dry. Mix all the other ingredients together in a bowl and dip your chicken in to coat with this tasty sauce mixture.
Lay each piece of chicken into the pan leaving a little room between each one. Turn them half way through cooking and use a pastry brush to coat them with the remainder of the sauce.
Honey recipes and chicken recipes are real comfort food eating especially with creamy mashed potato and vegetables of your choice.
Honey Chicken Recipe # 2
- This recipe is superb and will impress friends at a dinner part also.
- 4 chicken breasts, no skin
- 60 mls of coconut milk
- 2 cloves of garlic crushed
- 1 red chilli
- A small piece one inch chunk of grated ginger
- 10 mls of Thai fish sauce
- 30 mls of soy sauce
- 90 mls of peanut butter
- Juice of 1 lemon, orange or lime
- 15 mls of honey
Pop all your ingredients into a large mixing bowl and blend together. Cut your chicken breasts into chunks or strips and pop them in the bowl too. Blend them all together so the chicken is covered and pop in a fridge to marinade for at least a couple of hours.
Because chicken recipes can be cooked quite quickly this dish will be ready in a jiffy. Actually that’s not quite true because a "jiffy" is actually a portion of a second!
Heat a pan when ready with a dollop of good cooking oil, throw everything in and stir fry turning frequently until cooked. Serve with rice and peas or anything you fancy.
Honey Chicken Recipe # 3
This recipe can be made in a casserole dish and cooked slowly for a couple of hours in the middle of a low to medium oven heat.
- 4 chicken portions
- 4 chopped rashers of bacon
- 1 strong onion chopped and diced
- 1 medium jar of passata or whizz together in a blender 2 cans of plum tomatoes
- A teaspoon of tarragon
- A couple of heaped teaspoons of tomato puree
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- Approx 1oz of flour
In a large fry pan add a little oil and place on top of your stove. Add your bacon and onion to the pan and stir over a medium heat until cooked.
Add your flour and stir into the bacon and onion, add your passata, tarragon and puree and stir together.
Pop your prepared chicken pieces into your casserole dish and pour your sauce over. Cover and leave to cook gently in the oven. Just before serving stir in your honey. Try serving this with potato wedges which make a nice change.
