What Ginger Tea Can Do For You

Ginger tea benefits are quite wonderful and all derive from that knobbly shaped root plant called root ginger which makes a wonderful ginger tea.

Many people are aware of nature’s purest food and appear to be gaining in their momentum to include these foods into their daily diets far more frequently.

I personally use ginger tea as a very refreshing change along with my health benefits of honey. Ginger and honey make a great cup of tea and a good alternative to the usual varieties.

So What Are Ginger Tea Benefits

There are so many and I shall endeavor to write as much information as I possibly can for you.

Perhaps the main reason ginger tea is used as a homemade medicine is for the reasons of nausea and upset stomachs.

Do you remember (perhaps you are not old enough to) being given boiled ginger sweets before you went on a long car journey when you were little?

Mum and Dad used to dread these journeys for fear of their little ones throwing up in the car and along with those boiled sweets would be a vast array of towels and paper bags.

Constantly and unable to relax they would turn their heads to ask "Are you alright, you don’t feel sick do you?"

Nowadays those boiled sweets, although still available can be replaced with a cup of ginger tea and very tasty this is too.

Ginger tea benefits can be bottled up and chilled before the journey or kept warm in a flask for when you have a break along the way.

Now we don’t have to be little to enjoy the benefit of ginger tea, this natural health drink is very useful for all types of nausea including mothers-to-be who suffer the dreaded morning sickness.

I’ve never understood why they call it "morning sickness", I’ve had five children and suffered from this at other times of the day and night.

I wish I had known about ginger tea back then, I could have saved myself from a whole heap of trouble!

However, a little caution here, this is not something a mother-to-be should rely on for the whole day as overuse of ginger tea can stimulate the womb which is not recommended during pregnancy.

One cup in the morning should be considered safe, or maybe just try sipping it throughout the day.

A cup of tea and honey with added ginger is the perfect way to start the day even if you are not suffering with the effects of nausea.

In fact there are many hospitals these days who offer this to post operative patients. Whist waiting for the anesthetic to wear off they often feel a little nauseas and the ginger tea can help to settle their stomachs.

It has also proved very beneficial for the nausea sensations that can be brought on by patients undergoing chemotherapy.

Ginger Tea Benefits for Flatulence

Gosh this can be uncomfortable and extremely embarrassing if you haven’t got any control over it around other people!

Eating honey and drinking ginger tea will reduce this considerably if you are suffering and if eaten regularly will in most cases stop this troublesome condition from occurring in the first instance.

The major ingredients of ginger are Shogoals and Gingerols, these ingredients will neutralize excess stomach acids which cause the gas problems.

They are very useful in helping to calm digestive muscles which are also responsible for causing those painful cramps. This can be a particularly helpful drink if you suffer with IBS Symptoms.

Ginger Tea Benefits for~
Womans Menopause

There are many natural treatments for this normal period of any woman’s life but sometimes we need some help, natural help.

After all who wants to live on tablets and pills for years when we could help ourselves in a far tastier and natural way.

I do realize there are many of these prescriptions work however, there are many of us who prefer the taste and warming comfort that ginger tea can provide for us.

A ginger tea health benefit is that it helps to disperse blood clots which are always a problem during this time in a woman’s life. They can be painful to pass and really make you feel quite depressed at times.

The Chinese have used ginger tea for many natural cures for thousands of years and this remedy it seems is certainly one of their favorites, who can blame them!

Interestingly this is also a health benefit for those who suffer with menstrual cramps and problems with their periods.

The ginger stimulates the reproductive organs, particularly the uterus and helps to promote it into working properly.

Ginger Tea Benefits for Your Circulatory System

It is first very important to tell you that if you are taking any prescribed or unprescribed medication for reasons of thinning the blood like asprin, then you must not drink ginger tea without first consulting your doctor.

Ginger tea dialates blood vessels causing them to flow more freely and taking other blood thinning ingrdients along with your ginger tea could be quite dangerous.

This drink will certainly help to improve your circulatory system making your blood platelets less sticky.

Other problems caused by circulatory problems are irritations with things like chilblains. These form usually when the weather is cold and you come back into the warmth and goodness they itch.

A great benefit of ginger tea is it keeps your blood flowing nicely through your body effectively helping to control elevated or high blood pressure, it also helps to make you feel nice and warm too.

It is also interesting to note that at the Cornell University Medical College a researcher discovered that ginger has an effect on blood clots that are similar to that of aspirin so please be aware.

However, as a bonus, it was also noted that high cholesterol levels are lowered too which is great news for us all.

Ginger Tea Benefits for Arthritis

The pain of arthritis is not just something that those in their latter years suffer from; this painful condition affects many young people too.

Perhaps because I have a particular passion for honey and cinnamon which have been proved to be effective in controlling this condition I found it very interesting to discover that drinking ginger tea can also help.

Arthritis generally makes people feel very stiff with aching muscles and can make just normal everyday movement difficult.

Not just in the hips but all joints in our bodies can stiffen up including those in our fingers. Very frustrating, especially for those who are very active.

Danish researchers discovered a marked improvement for arthritis suffers who drank ginger tea daily and who am I to argue with that!

I think I am onto a good thing with my natural lifestyle which includes honey and ginger.

Drinking this tea showed that muscles were almost unlocked and pain of muscle aches and rheumatoid arthritis were considerably reduced.

If you are one of those lucky people who does not suffer with this painful condition it might be worth getting into the habit now of drinking ginger tea daily to help the onset of misery in later life.

If you know of someone who suffers these conditions why not suggest they try drinking a couple of cups a day and they should be thanking you before too long for suggesting it.

Perhaps you would like to try a Ginger Tea Recipe at home. There are quite a few to choose from.

Ginger Tea Benefits for
Headaches and Migraines

Prostaglandins are the substances which are responsible for inflammation of the blood vessels in the brain; this often leads to painful headaches and migraines.

These can be mind numbing at times and all you want to do is curl up under the duvet in the dark.

This problem affects millions and along with bad backs is the major cause of "sick days" at work. Try explaining that to a boss who has never had one!

Along with the head pain you often suffer with a fever too, this is something else the Chinese have discovered.

They suggest using fresh ginger (always use this preferably) to help those prostaglandins reduce bringing with it a soothing action helping your head to recover and bring your fever down.

Ginger Tea Benefits for Heart Problems

High cholesterol levels are one of the main reasons we are at risk of heart attacks so reducing these will help considerably in reducing the risk.

Often a cause is the sticky blood problem and we know now that ginger will help to keep your blood flowing freely just as it should.

A little fresh ginger root eaten or drunk each day is just what the doctor ordered and what could be nicer than including this in your tea and honey.

This will keep your veins pumping along correctly helping to keep your heart pumping along too.

As little a 5 grams a day has been suggested by the Cornell University Medical College.

Clever people these researchers and how interesting to note they have awakened to all the benefits of natural medicines such as the benefits of honey in recent years.

All in all it certainly seems very beneficial for most of us to enjoy ginger tea benefits which appear to help alleviate so many everyday problems to do with our health.
