Emma buzzed home after a long day of collecting pollen. Her wings were tired and she could barely drag herself through the hive entrance. She went to curl up in her sleeping space, but Amy and Stacy flew over to her.

“Emma,” Amy said, “Guess what tomorrow is?” She danced around the two other bees in excitement.

Emma looked at her friends. “Thursday?” she guessed.

“No, silly,” Stacy said. “We all have a day off tomorrow.”

Emma gasped. “A day off? We’ve never had a day off before.” All of a sudden she was much more awake than she was a minute ago.

Amy nodded. “Yes, so Stacy and I were thinking of having a beauty party. We can use all the honey and make ourselves the best looking bees in the hive.” Stacy and Emma giggled.

“Let’s do it,” Emma said. “But tomorrow. I’ve got to get some sleep.” Emma curled up in her sleeping space and slept the rest of the night away.

She awoke to Amy and Stacy prodding her awake with their antennae. “Come on,” Stacy said, “we have to collect the stuff for today’s party.” Emma rolled herself out after them.

“What do we need?” she asked Amy and Stacy.

“Honey,” Stacy said. Emma rolled her eyes. “And,” continued Stacy, “we have some milk, olive oil and oatmeal. We just have to mix it all up.”

Emma buzzed around with Stacy and Amy mixing up the different beauty products. Emma combined some olive oil a crafty bee had found the other day with some honey. “It’ll be a good moisturizer,” said Amy. “We’ll have the softest wings ever.”

Meanwhile, Stacy was mixing the oatmeal with the honey. “It will exfoliate our skin,” she told Amy and Emma. “It’ll take all the rough dead cells off,” she assured them. “It’ll match our wings.”

After they had mixed those couple things, Amy and Emma filled up some honeycomb cells with honey and milk. They soaked in their baths, laughing at each other and telling funny stories.

After they got out, they rubbed the olive oil and honey on their wings and the oatmeal mix on their faces. While they scrubbed the oatmeal mix off, they danced around and did funny impressions of their Queen bee. Emma was having such a great time with her friends.

They finally rinsed the mix off their wings and soared around the hive.

“We are so fresh and shiny,” Stacy shouted as they flew around. Emma and Amy agreed.

“Honey is so good for every part of our life,” Amy said.

“And I’m glad!” Emma added. “What would we be without it?”

“Un-moisturized and out of a job,” Stacy laughed. The three friends flew around the rest of the day and enjoyed their new selves all because of the beauty benefits of honey.
