Eating Honey helps Acid-Reflux

Thank you for letting me tell my story.
I started to take raw honey three months ago. On the first day, I noticed a change in my stomach after eating, I didn’t feel blobbed and with less gas.
The same night, after taking another tbs spoon before bed I slept like a baby without having to sit up as I usually do to prevent acid going up. It is caused by digestive gases trapped in my stomach.
I’m also type II Diabetic and guess what? It doesn't spike my blood sugar, I wake up with my sugar no different than when not taking the Honey, but lower of course than if I eat ice cream the night before or load up with starchier foods like breads, etc. and that really makes the blood sugar higher.
I knew Honey is more than good for you it also has warehouses load of protein especially with the pollen in it. I eat raw wild flower Honey from Ocala, Fl.
Be like me and tell your story now.

Jan’s ReplyA really good honey certainly does help acid reflux as you have discovered. It is a gentle easily digested food source that can quickly calm upset stomachs.
The
benefits of eating honey are huge and I am so pleased to read your story. You have just helped me spread the word about the benefits of honey.
People who are diagnosed with diabetes and those that hear this somewhat dreaded word believe it best to avoid “simple sugars” including honey.
Both honey and fructose have been shown to produce a lower glucose response than many other starchy type foods such as white bread.
Interestingly, research has shown that some complex carbohydrates raise blood glucose levels far more than certain simple sugars.
It is the total amount of carbohydrate foods rather than the types of carbohydrates that raise and cause insulin spikes.
Diabetics will have a healthy eating plan advised for them and honey is often included so long as they don’t eat too much.
Warm Regards

Readers Tip: Honey and apple cider vinegar also works for acid reflux
Also a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a small glass of warm or cool water will help with stomach problems making the stomach more alkaline.
You'd think it'd be acidic but it's just the opposite. I take that when I have acid indigestion. Works for me!
Jan's ReplyThank you so much Jesus for sending in your fascinating story about the health benefits of honey.
I am sure many others will find it truly inspirational.
