Does Honey Help Acne problems?

Hi there, I found your website very informative and encouraging. So I wondered if you could help to solve my problem.
My problem is, I have suffered with acne for over year now.
Every now and then I get white heads on my face and have tried every thing but nothing worked. (baking soda, lemon juice, all kinds of acne products then I heard about honey benefits for the skin.)
I massage daily with honey on my face and it seems to be having a good affect.
I still think its the best natural way to get rid of acne by reading honey reviews.
It is taking longer than I thought so may be I am using it the wrong way. So how would I make it even more affective?
Jan's ReplyHello Ali, oh you poor thing but please let me reassure you you are not alone, there are millions of people all over the world who suffer with this annoying condition.
It is Manuka Honey that is ideal for this condition and always buy the best. Dr Peter Molam has researched this remarkable honey for most of his life.
He realised that some honey's have a higher bacterial killing level which is how and why he came up with the idea of grading Manuka Honey known as UMF which stands for Unique Manuka Factor.
The higher the number on each jar the more effective it will be.
For stubborn acne problems you would need to buy UMF 18+ or higher. Use this as a daily honey mask leaving it on slightly damp skin for as long as possible.
Rinse off with clean warm water then apply a really good Propolis cream overnight. You can use this during the day also.
Propolis is the most natural anti-biotic, I cleared my own daughters Eczema using these methods and not many people realise that Manuka Honey is also effective at killing off that awful skin disease MRSA which is a nasty superbug and shows how powerful it is.
You may have to use this method for a few weeks if your acne is particularly stubborn, however it is well worth the effort.
Honey on your skin can be used for all types of skin infections, you and other readers may be interested to read:
