Does Honey Heal
Seborrhea Dermatitis?
by Terri

I was diagnosed with seborrhea dermatitis. My scalp is also very red. Would using honey on my scalp help this condition?
Thanks,
Terri
Jan’s ReplyYes honey is a great natural treatment for this condition you and thousands of others suffer with.
Because honey has natural anti-fungal properties which work on this condition fast, many people use it for their skin.
When it appears on your scalp it often looks quite flaky, a form of dandruff and is itchy and red, this is extremely uncomfortable.
It works great on facial skin too, honey is indeed a powerful healer but using caution the type of honey you use is very important.
Use a really good honey such as Manuka honey which is said to be the best due to much published and proven research.
My suggestion is to wash your hair, dry it off until it is slightly damp and apply a mixture of 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of a really good olive oil.
Rub it into your scalp gently and leave as long as possible each day.
Rinse off with warmish water, not too hot and within a week, according to research, you will see a marked improvement.
This application also works brilliantly on the skin; however for oily skin it is best to use the honey neat. You may like to read my

Thank you for asking this question, I hope you found my answer useful and your irritating scalp condition is cleared up quickly.
Warm Regards
