Best Cinnamon for Baking
in my Honey Recipes

by Lillian Zaleschuk
(Fairview, Alberta Canada)

Is it okay to use the ground cinnamon that I purchase in a tin for baking? I would like to use this in some of my honey recipes.

Thank you

Hello Lillian, thank you for your question which is a good one.

Be very careful with powdered cinnamon, this can sometimes just be powdered sawdust so it is advisable to check the label very carefully before purchasing.

Cinnamon and honey make a wonderful combination of flavours for cooking and baking, the aroma wafting from the oven is mouthwatering.

If you are able to purchase whole cinnamon quillings which you can grind yourself this would be my recommendation.

Of course use your cinnamon for baking and also try out some of the wonderful health benefits of
honey and cinnamon in your daily diet to help greatly improve your health.
