Bees in the attic.

Bee hive in my attic
I discovered a hive in my attic that has been there for quite a while. I was able to get within 7 feet of the hive and zoomed in for this picture. They are not agressive and have ignored me every time I approach the hive.
Jan's ReplyWow Michael, what an amazing picture and thank you so much for sending this in to us to share.
Bees won't trouble you if you don't trouble them! The only time they are likely to attack you is if you are disturbing their home wherever it may be or waving your arms around wildly if one or two approach you. This frightens them. I had one land on top of my head once and just stood still until it flew away.
There are many hives in peoples attics, sometimes they are not even aware of them. However, if you do have one and you want it removed please call a local beekeeper who will catch the swarm without harming them and place them elswhere.
Many thanks and if you have more to share with us we will so enjoy looking at them.
My warmest regards
Jan
